I am a methadone prescriber from Australia and have been doing this work for the last twenty five years or so, beginning in the prison system. It amazes me that the strength of ignorant beliefs held about methadone varies inversely with the level of accurate information, but you cannot inform those who will not listen. I have been on Methadone since March 15, 1998.Without it I would never have gotten my children back, I would not have a job, I would not be in college.I would be dead. Everyone that is in my life knows I am MMT, I have no shame for who I am,Thank you for making this video.

Hi, I just wanted to say that video is awesome. I just got done watching the video they show new patients and I think it was from at least 1980. There is no mention of painkillers at all. I have talked with my counselor and she would like to order this video if there is any way. Please let me know. This video would be a lot better for intake patients than what they are watching. This is an incredible video that is the TRUTH for so many of us. I have asked and recieved permission for the author(or whatever) to show this to my medical director at my clinic and to try and get a copy for our orientation group. Everyone involved with methadone one way or another should see this video. GREAT JOB..

Great vid. Sad how so many are misinformed about the medicine that has saved our lives. Also sad to see those whose loved ones abused drugs and didnt take the methadone properly or wasn't even prescribed it in the first place die of overdose only to have their loved ones start an unfair crusade of lies against MMT. Just like any medicine,if taken properly,methadone is a LIFE SAVER! Great vid qtpie!

What a breath of fresh air! Every legislator should view this. The idea that methadone treatment should be judged by the tragic deaths or those who never gave it a chance, rather than by the successes of those, who did, is absurd.
